Question by Drummer_Diva123: Ham Radio: How much are they worth?
My step-dad acquired a good load of ham radios & accessories from his dad, and I don’t know where his dad got them. My step-dad has passed away, and my mom’s trying to find out what they are worth and sell them. Is there a website or anything that could tell me how much they’re worth?

If they have microphones, send some pictures of them to milesdewar1896@hotmail.com
I will buy them off of you.

I usually check three places.
http://www.eham.net/classifieds/
http://forums.qrz.com/forumdisplay.php?7-Ham-Radio-Gear-For-Sale (you will need an account to use the search function)
and Ebay. Search via the brand names or model numbers and check the “completed listings” option. that way you can see what the item actually sold for and if it sold at all.
When it comes time to sell. Use ebay or look for a local “hamfest”. A hamfest is like a flea market for ham radios. Expect to negotiate on prices at a hamfest.
Sorry for your loss.
eBay is good for checking prices, but if you can locate a local ham radio club, they often do silent key appraisals for free.
Try searching ebay, craiglist or even eham to get a good price range on the equipment.
