Question by Patrick S: Can a CB radio communicate with a VHF Radio?
I am wondering to see if I could use my CB radio to communicate with my friend who has a VHF radio.

Answer by wires
No. The standard VHF radio works in the 150 MHz area and uses FM. A CB works in the 27 MHz area and uses AM. The VHF radio won’t be able to communicate the the CB because of both conditions. Neither radio can operate in the frequency range of the other and neither radio can work on the other modulation. This mean the VHF can’t send or receive AM and the CB can’t send or receive FM.
