Question by Charlie: Easiest way to study for Extra Class Exam for Amateur radio?
I have the big thick book from the arrl website, but I find myself confused.
Should I use the Q&A book from arrl? I need help, I really need to pass before field day at the end of June… Any study tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated..
I hold a General Class License now.

Join your local ham radio club if you haven’t already and see if you can find an Extra Class license holder who’s prepared to be your “Elmer”. Other than that it’s a case of plowing through the books.

I’m a Tech (KJ6QKV).
I went to a “license-in-one-day” session held by W6NBC to get that.
I have an ARRL General study book, which I’m reading
in hope of an upgrade sometime this year.
I think the ARRL books are probably as good as you’ll get,
unless you augment them with a class.
I’ve heard a few people saying that the Extra test is tougher than they ever imagined,
but since I’m not trying it myself yet, I dunno.
There are some online sites that provide mock tests for all license levels.
Give those a try.
