We use 80 Channel 477 MHz UHF Radio mostly in Australia . Channels 41 to 80 are Narrow band . Emergency channels are 5 and 35 , Channels 1 to 8 are Duplex repeater channels where and if repeater stations are available ..Thanks for the U.S. explanation ..

You forgot a one foot antenna jumper cable that attaches between the radio antenna output and the external SWR meter input.
    Good basic video.

Hi Johnny..thanks for the great tutorial. I just got a President 12/24 SSB CB radio with a 28" antenna that I think you mentioned. I got them both from Amazon. The thing is, my CB radio says SSB/CB, does that mean I need to buy an SSB antenna as well? Thanks for any help

    Thanks for sharing.
I'm looking for a great Waterproof unit for off-road communications? Also, any recommendations on what antenna you'd get if you had to mount it to a bumper on a jeep?

Good video, I'm gonna add a cb radio to my new truck and I don't know jaaaaaaack about cb's. Buying one thing at a time, I'm gonna look at th President Mckinley cb radio again to see if it has what you talked about.

By chance, I seen a radio I was interested in, but couldn't justify the cost without knowing if anyone was even on it. So I picked up a Midland 822 and heard… nothing. All right, dug out my old Wilson 1000 and hooked the radio up to it. I heard a little skip on the 'super bowl', but that was it. The rest of the channels were just dead air. Put the ducky antenna back on and set to scan. Not even truckers seem to use it. We're talking Cleveland, so a lack of population isn't the problem. So sad. =(
